Non Surgical Rhinoplasty (Mini-Nose Job With Dermal Filler Injections)

Get the nose you want without hassle

After eyes, your nose is the second thing anyone notices about you. The shape of your nose plays an important part in your appearance. Hence it is important that your nose looks perfect.

For years, the best solution for anyone looking for a nose job was a surgical rhinoplasty. The procedure was painful and required the patient to spend time in the hospital.

Now there is a better alternative to surgery- non surgical rhinoplasty.

What is the Cosmedocs Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty or nose job as it is commonly called is a cosmetic procedure that involves a safe, painless approach to reshaping the nose of the patient. The idea is to correct the defects and non symmetry of the nose by dermal fillers. These fillers are extremely safe, no allergic and produce instantaneous results.

Nose reshaping is a non surgical procedure that aims to remove small defects or add volume to the nose. The procedure is painless and extremely safe. The procedure is carried out by injecting dermal fillers into the target zone. This makes minor yet noticeable changes to the nose with very little downtime, minimal swelling and instant results.

Why should you go for non surgical rhinoplasty?

While surgical nose job remains the solution for nose reduction issue, the majority of the issues faced by patients pertain to nose reshaping or recontouring. Non surgical rhinoplasty is ideal in these cases because of the following advantages:

  • Non surgical nose jobs are ideal for people who cannot afford the time for a lengthy hospital stay.
  • There is no extensive recovery period. The patient could go about their life almost immediately after the procedure.
  • The results are visible immediately.
What is the procedure of the non surgical rhinoplasty?

A typical session of non surgical rhinoplasty is preceded by a consultation with the doctor. This is an essential step where the doctor examines the patient and tries to understand their expectation about the outcome of the procedure. This is the time where doctor selects the dermal filler that best produces the results envisioned by the patient.

The next step is the procedure itself. The average duration of the session is 30 minutes and the patient is conscious throughout the time. The dermal filler is injected at the location marked out by the doctor. The patient could monitor the progress and tell the doctor about any changes in what they want.

After the procedure, the patient is free to go without any stay in the clinic.

Advantages of Dermal Fillers

At Cosmedocs, we use two of safest dermal fillers available in the market. The first product is hyaluronic acid, whose effects last for 6 to 12 months. The second is Radiesse, whose effect last for 12 to 15 months. The decision to use one of these products depends mainly on the results a patient wants. Both these products have the following advantages.

  • Dermal fillers are temporary. The best thing about nonsurgical nose jobs using dermal fillers is that the patient and the doctor could opt for a new approach because of the temporary nature of the fillers.
  • The changes that can be achieved by using dermal fillers are natural-looking.
  • Dermal fillers are versatile. This means that the doctors at Cosmedocs are able to accomplish very specific improvements in nose reshaping that are simply not possible by surgical rhinoplasty.
  • The results of dermal fillers are visible very soon after the procedure compared to almost an year in the case of surgical rhinoplasty.
  • The patient is conscious during the procedure. The doctor and the patient could both monitor the procedure and carry out improvements in the original plan.
  • No downtime is required after the procedure and any minor bruising or redness could be covered by makeup. In any case, these conditions usually go away in three to four days.
What defects could non surgical rhinoplasty could correct?

Non surgical rhinoplasty is used to correct a wide range of defects in the nose and surrounding area. Following are just a few of them:

  • Refine the nose shape or size after surgical rhinoplasty.
  • Achieve improvement in the folds of the nose.
  • Correct a bump or 'hook' on the bridge of the nose.
  • Rebalance an asymmetrical nose.
  • An off centre or somewhat crooked nose.
  • A flat bridge which could be corrected by a slight increase in height by injecting dermal fillers.
  • Balance the size of the nose so that it looks more appropriate with other facial features.

The Complete range of Cosmetic Nose Surgery

  • Reduction Rhinoplasty…. (reduction in nasal size ) including hump reduction, Nose Straightening, Reshaping and shortening.
  • Augmentation Rhinoplasty…..Building up a flattened or "saddle" nose from trauma, ethnic trait or inherited facial features.
  • Revision Rhinoplasty ( re do's from other surgeons )
  • Ethnic Rhinoplasty, the ASIAN , Mediterranean and African- Carribean clients are increasingly seeking these procedures.
  • Tip refinement : this is the finesse and artistic element so often neglected by by most non specialist Rhinoplasty surgeons

The majority of rhinoplasties are done internally i.e. with incisions inside the nose and no external scars. Sometimes it is necessary to do them externally with a small external incision in the partition between nostrils known as the Columella. In time the scar becomes virtually invisible. This procedure is reserved for certain difficult cases that require more tip work and revision cases. Rhinoplasty remains a popular and common cosmetic procedure and despite the confusing terminology ALL cases are tailored to satisfy your needs.

Your private consultation is in depth and vital to a successful outcome! Do YOU feel unhappy with the size and/or shape of your nose?

Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty) FAQs

  • Who will nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) benefit?
  • Ideally anyone over the age of 18 years, in good medical health who requires correction of a cosmetic nasal defect. This may be a reduction in nasal size which may include a hump, straightening the nasal bones and shortening the apparent length of the nose. This is called a reduction rhinoplasty. Some nasal profiles show a significant "saddle" deformity either from previous trauma, ethnic traits or inherited facial characteristics. This is known as an "augmentation" rhinoplasty. It will require a cartilage graft either from the patients nasal septum or their auricular (ear) cartilage to cover the saddle shaped defect.

Surgery for Asian, Mediterranean and African-American clients require a deep understanding of their special racial characteristics and this is an increasing market especially in the British Isles where third generation immigrants are becoming more Europeanized. This variant is called the "Ethnic" rhinoplasty.

Those clients unfortunate enough to require a second procedure present the rhinoplastic surgeon with a unique and difficult problem known as revision or secondary rhinoplasty.

All these procedures may require refinement of the nasal tip. The artistry and finesse to perform this aspect require years of study and experience, often beyond the realm of most non rhinoplasty ultra specialists
  • How is nose surgery done?
  • The operation can be done under local anaesthesia with sedation or under general anaesthetic. The majority of cases are performed utilizing internal incisions that are not visible and hence no external scars. Sometimes it is required to make an external incision in the columella ( the partition between nostrils). This is called the open or external approach. It depends what needs to be done to the nose; for example, when placing a cartilage graft.
  • What results can I expect from my nose surgery?
  • It is vital to have realistic expectations and this is where the preoperative consultation is so important. Both client and surgeon have to sing from the same hymn sheet so to speak.
  • How long is the recovery period?
  • Rhinoplasty is not usually painful, but that doesn't mean it is not uncomfortable. Most patients are ready to go back to light work two to three weeks after the operation. Contact sports are not recommended for several months. Some surgeons may argue that they will only perform a rhinoplasty when a contact sport athlete has retired from active competition!
  • Are there any after effects to rhinoplasty?
  • Bruising and black eyes are so common as well as nasal blockage, light seepage of blood, temporary loss of smell and swelling. These are short lived and last for two weeks or so
  • Are there risks associated with rhinoplasty?
  • • Surgical complications are bleeding, infection, septal haematoma (a blood collection between the two opposing lining layers of the internal nose), collapse of the nasal bridge, loose fragments of bone and approximately a 10% revision surgery rate even in the most experienced hands. These are the main ones, for a more in depth account talk this over with your surgeon. Please let your surgeon know if you are allergic to elastoplast, latex rubber, iodine or any other drugs.
  • Can I combine rhinoplasty with other procedures?
  • Yes ! It can be done in conjunction with a septoplasty ( straightening the nasal cartilage partition). This is called a septorhinoplasty and is a very common procedure performed by an Otolaryngologist ( Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon).
It is also possible to have a chin augmentation or lip enhancement performed simultaneously. Also, post rhinoplasty you may have dermal fillers to fine tune the results you wish to achieve . Our non-surgical department have some of the most experienced practitioners in this field.. have a look : www.cosmedocs.co.uk/nose
  • How do I choose a surgeon?
  • The experience of the surgeon is vital. It takes many years to be a competent rhinoplasty surgeon and more so to deal with all the complications that may arise. In the UK the rhinoplasty is most commonly performed by an ENT surgeon ( Otolaryngologist) following trauma, nasal osbstruction and coexisting problems. Ask your surgeon if he is an "Ultra Specialist" in the field of Plastic Nasal Surgery and Functional surgery of the nose.
The nose sets the tone of the face, your nose must look good and function properly too. The art of the nasal plastic surgeon with the science of the otolaryngologist is brought together par excellence in cosmetic rhinoplasty, the most difficult procedure in facial cosmetic surgery!
  • How do I arrange to have rhinoplasty?
